Since people like Owen and JRoxas have posted much, much smarter entries regarding this episode, I will refrain from that (not that I could write that well anyway) and just comment on some random stuff in the episode. 58 screenshots were taken, with 55 (I think being used).

Oh, how I would love to be waken up this way everyday…

You just gotta love Sunohara’s boxers – they are manly and awesome.

I noticed that KyoAni makes Kyou look so awesome(ly hot) in every scene. Perhaps we should call them KyouAni instead.

I could sort of kind of detect a bit of sadness in Ryou’s voice actor in these scenes. Already, Ryou’s starting to accept that they’ll really be nothing more than friends.

You know you’re a pimp when you have four women come to your house at the same damn time just to give you food.

And indeed, Kyou has some of the most awesome facial expressions EVER. I love everyone’s clothing here too. Very casual, yet they all have a hint of moe..

Oh good God. I can’t even finish a single compartment of that bento, let alone the entire table.

And Tomoya has the wonderful task of eating all that food, lest he face the wrath of the four.

Godspeed, Tomoya.

Gee, Sunohara, you’re looking mighty fabulous there.

Oh God, Tomoyo, you are so hot no matter how you are dressed.

I don’t know whether I should giggle or pity the poor guy.

And suddenly, Tomoyo has a legion of fangirls. With good reason.

KyoAni loves to drive in the fact that Tomoya’s family life sucks balls. I do hope they do the arc on his dad though, it apparently made Hinano cry. It also kinda sucks that they just threw Tomoyo’s entire arc right into the 5-minute scene here. It feels right, but may feel rushed for some.

Oh Tomoyo, even your killing stare is so hot.

The anime probably had to tone down the “accident” that Takafumi got himself into, since he did something other than jump into a river in the Visual Novel.

Pure speculation, but I’d like to think that in this scene, Ryou had already given up on Tomoya, but Kyou still couldn’t do that. Not until that later scene, anyway.

Oh God, this scene was so painful to watch – Tomoyo smiles, but her eyes say it all. She knows that Tomoya’s eyes are on Nagisa alone, and simply accepts that and goes back to the match.

And as if to drive the fact that Tomoya will end up with Nagisa, KyoAni places this scene another time or two, with the twins getting more and more solemn in each succeeding scene.

And well, yeah. *sob*

What’s this? No CLANNAD this week? BLASPHEMY.
And before anyone asks, I put that text there; I used SS-Eclipse’s release, minus the subs because I was too lazy to go and get a raw.
I love it.
Fuko is awesome.
man i do hope theres a “tomoyo after” spinoff or something. tomoyo’s really the best while kyou’s second for me.
by the way – whats the title of the insert song?
A record breaking episode indeed, since THE MAN managed to ANNIHILATE three flags within a 5 minute span.
Epic defeat is epic.
This episode was absolutely amazing, especially the tennis scene! Though I loved seeing how strong Tomoya and Nagisa’s bond is, I can’t help but be sad that Tomoyo, Kyou and Ryou’s hearts were all broken.
V2, Following the trend of KyoAni animating Key’s first three works, the possibility of a Tomoyo After series or OVA can’t really be ruled out, but more importantly, I want a planetarian movie. Oh, and the insert song, “オーバー” (O-ba-, or perhaps, Over), is a vocal arrange of Kyou’s theme, “それは風のように”. LianYL posted lyrics, a translation, and a transliteration, if you’re interested.
Honya, It’s sad, I know, but for the main story to move forward, there really is no other way to do it other than this. I think.
ヽ(;´Д`)ノ My poor Kyou~
What did the bro do in the visual novel =O?
[SPOILER WARNING]
He jumped in front of a car, if memory serves me right.
