Interesting. So this system is a lot like Mario RPG, then, in that the timing of your attacks and blocks relative to the opponent’s actions is paramount.

I’m really impressed by the depth of this review, which drops the time that would be spent on summary and gets right to the meat of the matter.

Hemi: Except that if AT ever should become eroge they would stop being sold on console and would only sell to very few people.

And I don´t have a feeling that Namco would stop a series as this so…

I certainly hope not. And besides, written words would be sufficient, no need for any visual aid.

Zero: I need to start writing the review I´ve had in mind since I finished it. That and I need to start to work on Luca´s part.

But then again, enter SFIV, fighting has never been so good. Add sickness to the mix and I haven´t got lots of time to play. Which is boring and frustrating. So many games, no will to play them.

At first, I bought and play Ar Tonelico 1 is simply because I saw BANPRESTO Logo on it… (I’m a big fan of BANPRESTO). And I found it really different than most of RPG I’ve ever played… The most similar to its battle system are Valkyrie Profile [PS1], and the Idea of using songs and hymn are just great. Not to mention the makers are creating a new language just for the hymn, can you believe that? That just show how serious they are when making this game!

I still need to get my copy of the game working, it just keeps hanging T_T. But I would agree that this is a game worth to be played, even more so after Ar tonelico 1. *note* Ar Tonelico 1’s battle system is different form that seen in the 2nd game but enjoyable nonetheless.

Well, I honestly would recommend that you play the first game if you’ll want to understand all the in-jokes and such. At2 is good on its own, but it’s a lot more fun if you play At first.
