These guys talk about being unique, having your own “niche” thing or whatever else, and yes, I do agree with them. There just really are too many blogs doing the same goddamn thing. Probably half of the currently existing anime blogs, maybe even more, follow this sort of trend — blogging about episodes, summarizing what happened, then reviewing the series as a whole when it finishes. To be honest, I have nothing against that. These people have the freedom to write what they want, and you, the reader, would have the freedom to read those blogs (or perhaps not to read them).
People can say that a lot of guys blog because they use their blog, and the blogs of others, as a means of communication. They can post opinions on their own blog, and respond to others’ opinions in their respective blogs. Yet, many people, including yours truly, just blogs for the heck of it. They treat their blog as a little diary for the world to see, and for them, they may or may not care that people read it or not.
To wrap this absolutely incoherent entry up, I would just like to say one last thing.
We, as bloggers, can feel free to move for change — be it positive or not. But one thing we shouldn’t do, is to criticize and attack people for simply writing what they feel like writing about.
What makes me unique? I try to be unique by doing something few people dare to do: write massive walls of text that discourage people from ever reading my blog ever again.
