Song Lyrics

The lyrics section is now up again fuck yeah.

I make no claims regarding the accuracy of the romanization, and seeing as I suck at Japanese, I can only hope to decipher crazy-ass cryptic lyrics.
I also do not claim to be up-to-date with the songs (I mean Jesus, myself;yourself was how many months ago?). I do it because I like the songs :>

I’ll put the lyrics for Find the blue up sometime soon.

That’s cool. So many people listen to Japanese songs without bothering to know the lyrics. I think that sucks.

Why does that suck? I can pick out phrases or words in Japanese songs, but — like songs or poetry in every language in the world — the order of the words is not exactly how the words would be spoken in a regular conversation.

Just because you don’t (or can’t) understand all the words doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the song. Tell me what all the words for The Doors “In the Garden of Eden” are! You can’t because the singers were too stoned when they recorded it, but this song is considered a classic.

How many people confused Jimi Hendrix’s song “Kiss the Sky” as having the lyrics of, “Excuse me while I kiss this guy…”
